The sign of the North Node says in what manner; the house says WHERE. They are two different questions, and in this series the second one has an advantage the first does not.

Because the sign of the Node is almost cohort information. It takes 567 days in each sign — a year and a half —, so everyone born within eighteen months has the same one. What are the challenges of North Node in the 4th house

There are two, and they are opposites: the excess is the person who shuts herself in and calls it a root, and the deficiency is someone who lives at work and visits her own house. The South Node is always 180 degrees from the North — so with the North Node in the 4th house, your South Node is in the 10th house, and always will be.
