Pluto is where your life does not go back to what it was. It is the area where a crisis does not return what it took, where power shows up — yours and other people's — and where rebuilding is the only way out, because the way back has stopped existing. And it is, for the same reason, the area of your life that changed most between twenty and forty.

Before any description, the same caveat as the other two generational series, and here it is the strongest of all: the sign of Pluto is not yours. It belongs to your generation. In practice that becomes three useful things: a courage to go against consensus that almost no generation had; a generosity in creating and in leading; and a vitality that usually lasts far longer than their parents' did.

That strength does best in creation, leadership, teaching, politics, art and any arrangement where signing what you do is part of the job. And it does badly in an environment that demands self-effacement, an arrangement with no recognition at all and anywhere the hierarchy does not explain itself.
