The nodes are not planets: they are the two points where the Moon's orbit crosses the apparent path of the Sun. There is nothing there for a telescope to point at. It is geometry — and it is geometry that matters, because it is exactly at these two points that eclipses happen. It was from that coincidence that tradition drew everything else.

If you have seen two sites give different signs for your North Node, you did not see an error: you saw two different points with the same name, and your date fell in the middle of the difference.
What the North Node in Capricorn does not say about you
It says a direction, and not who you are. It does not say you must be ambitious, nor leave your family. It says the direction is answering for something of your own in the world — a trade, a post, a piece of work with your name on it.
