The sign of Saturn says HOW life makes its demands of you; the house says WHERE. They are two different questions, and in this series the second counts for more than the first — for the same reason it did in Jupiter's, and with even more force.

The sign of Saturn belongs to a whole two-and-a-half-year cohort. The house is yours alone. That strength does best in command, a technical trade, health, the judiciary, an institution and any arrangement in which being taken seriously is where the work starts. And it does badly in a setting that demands performed friendliness, an arrangement in which one sells by appearance and anywhere lightness is a requirement.

What are the challenges of Saturn in the 1st house

There are two, and they are opposites: the excess is restraint turning into a wall nobody gets past, and the deficiency is the person who gave up on this area before it ever held her to account.
